Education

Working with high school counselors, LEO will be awarding scholarships to deserving high school students interested in the field of law enforcement.

Training
LEO has designed a 2-4 hour workshop detailing the entire hiring pathway for law enforcement careers. This workshop is a practical primer for those seeking job opportunities, as well as those agencies that are interested in understanding what new applicants are facing.

Additionally, LEO provides workshops on interviewing, background preparation, career options and educational requirements for various careers in both law enforcement and corrections.

Consulting
LEO provides direct consulting to agencies on areas such as hiring, protected status recruiting cultural understandings and retention issues. We also will assist in designing alternative strategies for attracting a special workforce as well as assist in direct recruiting for an agency.

Fees
Fees for services are very reasonable and go directly towards the LEO scholarship fund. Personal instructor expenses such as mileage, hotels and meals will be charged at cost.

  • Provide education to communities of color and women regarding career opportunities within law enforcement and corrections;
  • Assist law enforcement and corrections agencies in the successful recruitment of these populations;
  • To provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to eligible applicants interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement or corrections.  Scholarship monies are used to fund eligible applicants' related training and education expenses.
